3. Connect a 15 A fused jumper wire between B+ and the ECM PWR/TRN relay switch control terminal 87. Ignition ON, verify that a test lamp



illuminates between the IGN/B+ circuit terminals listed below and ground:



* Terminal 52 X1 (LF1)



* Terminal 70 X1 (LF1)



* Terminal 73 X1 (LF1)



* Terminal 3 X2 (LAU)



* Terminal 5 X2 (LAU)



* Terminal 6 X2 (LAU)



* Terminal 41 X2 (LAU)



* Terminal 56 X2 (LAU)



* Terminal 54 X2 (LAU)



瀚慖f the test lamp does not illuminate , test the IGN/B+ circuit for a short to ground or an open/high resistance.



4. If all circuits test normal, replace the K20 ECM.



Fuel Pump Control Module



1. Ignition OFF, disconnect the harness connectors at the K27 fuel pump control module.



2. Ignition OFF and scan tool disconnected, open and close the driver door, and wait 1 minute. Test for less than 5 Ohms between the ground



circuit terminal 25 and ground.



瀚慖f greater than the specified range, test the ground circuit for an open/high resistance.



3. Verify that a test lamp illuminates between the IGN/B+ circuit terminals listed below and ground:



* Terminal 1



* Terminal 21



瀚慖f the test lamp does not illuminate, test the IGN/B+ circuit for a short to ground or an open/high resistance.



4. If all circuits test normal, replace the K27 fuel pump control module.



Transmission Control Module



1. Ignition OFF, disconnect the harness connectors at the T12 transmission.



2. Ignition OFF, and scan tool disconnected, open and close the driver door, and wait 1 minute. Test for less than 5 Ohms between the ground



circuit terminals listed below and ground:



* Terminal 1 (MH2 or MH4)



* Terminal 18 (MH2 or MH4)



* Terminal 9 (MXE)



瀚慖f greater than the specified range, test the ground circuit for an open/high resistance.



3. Ignition ON, verify that a test lamp illuminates between the IGN/B+ circuit terminals listed below and ground:



* Terminal 10 (MH2 or MH4)



* Terminal 1 (MXE)



瀚慖f the test lamp does not illuminate , test the IGN/B+ circuit for a short to ground or an open/high resistance.



4. If all circuits test normal, replace the K71 transmission control module.

瀚慖f not the specified value, test the P/N signal circuit for a short to ground. If the circuit tests normal, replace the engine control module.



5. Connect a 3-amp fused jumper wire between the TCM harness connector terminal 3 and terminal 18. Verify the PNP Switch parameter



changes to Park/Neutral.



瀚慖f not the specified value, test the P/N signal circuit for an open/high resistance. If the circuit tests normal, replace the engine control



module.



6. Ignition OFF, remove the control valve body cover. Refer to Control Valve Body Cover Replacement (See: Transmission and



Drivetrain/Automatic Transmission/Transaxle/Valve Body/Service and Repair/6T70/6T75 - Automatic Transmission/Control Valve Body



Cover Replacement).



7. Connect the TCM harness connector.



8. Disconnect the IMS connector at the control solenoid valve assembly.



9. Ignition ON, verify the scan tool IMS A/B/C/P parameter displays HI for all four signal circuits.

10. Verify the scan tool ECM PNP Switch parameter displays In Gear.

11. Connect a 3-amp fused jumper wire between each transmission range signal circuit terminal listed below and the IMS ground circuit,



terminal A. Verify the corresponding scan tool IMS A/B/C/P parameter displays LOW when terminals E, D, C, and B are connected to the



IMS ground and the ECM PNP Switch parameter displays Park/Neutral when terminal F is connected to ground.



* Switch Signal A terminal E



* Switch Signal B terminal D



* Switch Signal C terminal C

* PNP Switch Signal terminal F

12. If all circuits test normal, replace the IMS.

4. Install fuse that supplies B+ to terminal 56 X2 of the ECM.



Caution: Do NOT use the low reference circuit in the component harness connector for this test. Damage to the control module may occur



due to excessive current draw.



5. Ignition ON, verify that a test lamp illuminates between the ignition circuit terminal 4 and ground.



瀚慖f the test lamp does not illuminate, test the ignition circuit for a short to ground or an open/high resistance. If the circuit tests normal and



the ignition circuit fuse is open, test all the components connected to the ignition circuit and replace as necessary.



6. Test for 4.8-5.2 V between the signal circuit terminal 5 and the ground circuit terminal 2.



瀚慖f less than the specified range, test the signal circuit for an open/high resistance or a short to ground. If the circuit/connections test



normal, replace the K20 ECM.



瀚慖f greater than the specified range, test the signal circuit for a short to voltage. If the circuit/connections test normal, replace the K20



ECM.



7. Ignition OFF, connect the red lead of the J 38522 to the signal circuit terminal 5 at the B75 MAF sensor harness connector. Connect the



battery voltage supply to B+, and the black lead to ground.



8. Set the J 38522 Signal switch to 5 V, the Frequency switch to 5K, and the Duty Cycle switch to Normal.



9. Ignition ON, observe the scan tool MAF Sensor Hz parameter. The parameter should be between 4,950-5,050 Hz.



瀚慖f the parameter is not within the specified range, replace the K20 ECM.



10. If all circuits/connections test normal, replace the B75 MAF sensor.

The electronic brake control module (EBCM) uses input from the boost pressure sensor for more accurate control during brake and vehicle stability

enhancement system (VSES) event. The boost pressure sensor is internal to the brake pressure modulator valve (BPMV).

* The ignition is ON.

* Ignition voltage is greater than 10 volts.
