1. Ignition OFF, disconnect the KR20 cooling fan relay.
2. Test for 50-90 ohm between terminals 85 and 86.
瀚慖f not within the specified range, replace the KR20 cooling fan relay.
3. Measure the resistance between the terminals listed below:
* 30 and 86
* 30 and 87
* 30 and 85
* 85 and 87
The DMM should display OL.
瀚慖f less than the specified range, replace the KR20 cooling fan relay.
4. Test the KR20E Fan Control Relay for less than 2 ohm between terminals 30 and 87A.
瀚慖f greater than the specified range, replace the KR20E cooling fan relay.
5. Connect a 20 A fused jumper wire between relay terminal 85 and B+. Connect a jumper wire between relay terminal 86 and ground. Test for
less than 2 ohm between terminals 30 and 87.
瀚慖f greater than the specified range, replace the KR20 cooling fan relay.

DTC Descriptor
DTC P0496
- Evaporative Emission System Flow During Non-Purge
Circuit/System Description
This DTC tests for undesired intake manifold vacuum flow to the evaporative emission (EVAP) system. The engine control module (ECM) seals
the EVAP system by commanding the EVAP canister purge solenoid valve OFF and the EVAP canister vent solenoid valve ON. The ECM
monitors the fuel tank pressure (FTP) sensor to determine if a vacuum is being drawn on the EVAP system. If vacuum in the EVAP system is more
than a predetermined value within a predetermined time, this DTC sets.
The following table illustrates the relationship between the ON and OFF states, and the Open or Closed states of the EVAP canister purge and vent
