Circuit/System Testing

1. Ignition OFF, disconnect the harness connector of the ESC module.

2. Ignition OFF and scan tool disconnected, open and close the driver door, and wait 1 minute. Test for less than 5 ohms between the ground

circuit terminal 47 and ground.

锟斤拷If greater than the specified range, test the ground circuit for an open/high resistance.

3. Verify that a test lamp illuminates between the 12V B+ circuit terminal 32 of the ESC module and ground.

锟斤拷If the test lamp does not illuminate, test the 12V B+ circuit for a short to ground or an open/high resistance.

4. If all circuits test normal, replace the ESC module.

Repair Instructions

Perform the Diagnostic Repair Verification (See: Verification Tests) after completing the diagnostic procedure.

Control Module References (See: Testing and Inspection/Programming and Relearning) for ESC module replacement, setup and programming.
