Circuit/System Testing

1. Ignition OFF, disconnect the harness connector at the infrared module.

2. Ignition OFF, test for less than 5.0 ohms between the ground circuit terminal 12 and ground.

锟斤拷If greater than the specified range, test the ground circuit for an open/high resistance.

3. Ignition ON, rear audio ON, test for 10.0-11.0 volts between the supply voltage circuit terminal 4 and ground.

锟斤拷If less than the specified range, test the voltage supply circuit for a short to ground or an open/high resistance. If the circuit tests normal,

replace the rear audio/HVAC module.

锟斤拷If greater than the specified range, test the voltage supply circuit for a short to voltage. If the circuit tests normal, replace the rear

audio/HVAC module.

4. If all circuits test normal, replace the infrared module.

- Run and Crank/On and Start Power Circuit - Short to Ground or Open

Diagnostic Fault Information

Circuit/System Description

The Run and Crank/On and Start Power signal connects the Serial Data Gateway Module (SDGM) along with numerous other modules to the

vehicle 12-volt system through a fused relay in the fuse block - underhood. This relay is closed by the Body Control Module (BCM) based on the

key being in either the Run or Crank position.

Conditions for Running the DTC

Ignition voltage is between 9-16 volts.

B1453 01

Ignition is in ACC position.

B1453 06

Ignition is in RUN position.
