Circuit/System Testing
1. Ignition OFF, disconnect the X2 harness connector at the LGM.
2. Test for less than 1 ohm between the ground circuit terminal 6 and ground.
锟斤拷 If greater than the specified range, test the ground circuit for an open/high resistance.
3. Ignition ON, verify that a test lamp illuminates between the B+ circuit terminal 3 and ground.
锟斤拷 If the test lamp does not illuminate, test the B+ circuit for a short to ground or an open/high resistance. If the circuit tests normal and the
B+ circuit fuse is open, replace the LGM.
4. Ignition OFF, connect the X2 harness connector and disconnect the X3 harness connector at the LGM.
5. Test for less than 15 ohms between the control terminal 1 at the LGM and ground.
锟斤拷 If greater than the specified range, replace the LGM.
6. Test for less than 15 ohms between the control terminal 2 at the LGM and ground.
锟斤拷 If greater than the specified range, replace the LGM
7. Install a 15A fused jumper wire between the control circuit terminal 1 at the liftgate motor assembly and 12 volts. Momentarily install a
jumper wire between the control circuit terminal 2 at the liftgate motor assembly and ground. The liftgate motor should perform the OPEN or
CLOSE function.
锟斤拷 If the function does not perform as specified, replace the liftgate motor assembly.
8. Install a 15A fused jumper wire between the control circuit terminal 2 and 12 volts. Momentarily install a jumper wire between the control
circuit terminal 1 and ground. The liftgate motor should perform the CLOSE or OPEN function.
锟斤拷 If the function does not perform as specified, replace the liftgate motor assembly.
9. If all circuits test normal, replace the LGM.
