Special Tools

DT-47825-10 - Jumper Harness

Circuit/System Verification

1. Engine Running, accessories OFF, measure and record the battery voltage with a DMM. The battery voltage should be between 12.6-15

volts.

瀚慖f the voltage is not within the specified value, or the charge indicator light is ON, refer to Charging System Test (See: Starting and

Charging/Testing and Inspection/Component Tests and General Diagnostics/Charging System Test).

2. Observe the scan tool TCM Ignition Voltage parameter. The reading should be between 12.6-15 volts.

3. Operate the vehicle within the Conditions for Running the DTC to verify the DTC does not reset. You may also operate the vehicle within the

conditions that you observed from the Freeze Frame/Failure Records data.

Circuit/System Testing

1. Ignition OFF, disconnect the X1 16-way harness connector at the transmission.

2. Connect the DT-47825-10 - harness to the X1 16-way vehicle harness connector.

3. Test for less than 5 ohms between terminal 5 and ground at the transmission case.

瀚慖f greater than the specified range, test the ground circuit for an open/high resistance.

4. Ignition ON, verify that a test lamp illuminates between the ignition voltage circuit and B+ circuit terminals listed below and ground.

* Terminal 4 and ground at the transmission case

* Terminal 12 and ground at the transmission case

瀚慖f the test lamp does not illuminate, test the ignition circuit or B+ circuit for a short to ground or an open/high resistance.

5. If all circuits test normal, replace the Q8 control solenoid valve assembly.

Repair Instructions

Perform the Diagnostic Repair Verification (See: Verification Tests) after completing the diagnostic procedure.

* Refer to Control Module References (See: Testing and Inspection/Programming and Relearning) for Control Solenoid Valve Assembly

Replacement, Setup, and Programming.

* Perform the Service Fast Learn Adapts (See: Transmission and Drivetrain/Automatic Transmission/Transaxle/Testing and

Inspection/Programming and Relearning) following all transmission related repairs.
