Circuit/System Verification
1. Ignition ON, verify with a scan tool the transmission ISS/OSS Supply Voltage parameter displays OK.
2. Operate the vehicle at 16-32 km/h (10-20 mph) while observing the scan tool transmission OSS parameter. The transmission OSS should
vary with the vehicle speed and not drop out.
3. Operate the vehicle within the Conditions for Running the DTC to verify the DTC does not reset. You may also operate the vehicle within the
conditions that you observed from the Freeze Frame/Failure Records data.
Circuit/System Testing
Note: You must perform the Circuit/System Verification first.
1. Ignition OFF, remove the control valve body cover. Refer to Control Valve Body Cover Replacement (See: Transmission and
Drivetrain/Automatic Transmission/Transaxle/Valve Body/Service and Repair/6T70/6T75 - Automatic Transmission/Control Valve Body
Cover Replacement).
2. Connect the TCM harness connector.
3. Disconnect the OSS harness connector X4 from the control solenoid valve assembly.
4. Ignition ON, test for 8.3-9.3 volts between the OSS voltage circuit terminal A on the control solenoid valve assembly and ground at the
transmission case.
瀚慖f not within the specified range, replace the control solenoid valve assembly. Refer to Control Solenoid Valve and Transmission Control
Module Assembly Replacement (See: Powertrain Management/Transmission Control Systems/Actuators and Solenoids - Transmission
and Drivetrain/Actuators and Solenoids - A/T/Shift Solenoid/Service and Repair).
5. Perform the Control Solenoid Valve and Transmission Control Module Assembly Input Shaft Speed/Output Shaft Speed Input Test (See:
Transmission and Drivetrain/Automatic Transmission/Transaxle/Testing and Inspection/Component Tests and General
Diagnostics/6T70/6T75 - Automatic Transmission/Control Solenoid Valve and Transmission Control Module Assembly Input Shaft
Speed/Output Shaft Speed Input Test).
6. Inspect the front differential transfer drive gear teeth surface for damage or misalignment and for metallic debris on the face of the sensor.
Repair or replace as necessary.
7. If all circuits test normal, replace the output speed sensor.
Repair Instructions
Perform the Diagnostic Repair Verification (See: Verification Tests) after completing the diagnostic procedure.
Important: Perform the Service Fast Learn Adapts (See: Transmission and Drivetrain/Automatic Transmission/Transaxle/Testing and
Inspection/Programming and Relearning) following all transmission related repairs.
* Output Speed Sensor Replacement (See: Powertrain Management/Transmission Control Systems/Sensors and Switches - Transmission and
Drivetrain/Sensors and Switches - A/T/Transmission Speed Sensor/Service and Repair/Output Speed Sensor Replacement)
Important: Before replacing the TCM, perform the Control Solenoid Valve and Transmission Control Module Assembly Inspection
(See: Transmission and Drivetrain/Automatic Transmission/Transaxle/Testing and Inspection/Component Tests and General
Diagnostics/6T70/6T75 - Automatic Transmission/Control Solenoid Valve and Transmission Control Module Assembly Inspection).
* Control Module References (See: Testing and Inspection/Programming and Relearning) for control solenoid valve assembly replacement,
setup, and programming
