Circuit/System Testing

1. Verify that DTC P0562 is not set.

瀚慖f DTC P0562 is set, refer to DTC P0562 (See: P Code Charts/P0562).

2. Ignition OFF, disconnect the harness connector of the K27 fuel pump control module.

3. Ignition ON, test for greater than 11 V between the IGN voltage circuit terminal 15 and ground.

瀚慖f less than the specified voltage, test the IGN voltage circuit for a short to ground or an open/high resistance. If the circuit tests normal

and the ECM/TCM fuse is open, test the voltage circuit for a short to ground. If the circuit tests normal, test or replace the Run/Crank

relay.

4. If all circuits test normal, replace the K27 fuel pump control module.

Repair Instructions

Perform the Diagnostic Repair Verification (See: Verification Tests) after completing the diagnostic procedure.

* Relay Replacement (Attached to Wire Harness) (See: Power and Ground Distribution/Power Distribution Relay/Service and Repair/Relay

Replacement (Attached to Wire Harness))Relay Replacement (Within an Electrical Center) (See: Power and Ground Distribution/Power

Diagnostic Instructions

* Perform the Diagnostic System Check - Vehicle (See: Testing and Inspection/Initial Inspection and Diagnostic Overview/Diagnostic System

Check - Vehicle) prior to using this diagnostic procedure.

* Review Strategy Based Diagnosis (See: Testing and Inspection/Initial Inspection and Diagnostic Overview/Strategy Based Diagnosis) for an

overview of the diagnostic approach.

DTC Descriptor

DTC P2534

- Ignition 1 Switch Circuit Low Voltage

Circuit/System Description

The transmission control module (TCM) samples the system voltage on the Ignition 1 voltage circuit every 0.1 seconds. Lower than normal voltage

may be inadequate to operate the transmission control solenoids properly. Improper solenoid operation may cause erratic transmission operation,

which may result in internal damage.
