Circuit/System Description
The transmission fluid temperature (TFT) sensor is located inside of the transmission control module (TCM) assembly which has no serviceable
parts. The TFT sensor provides transmission fluid temperature to the TCM. This fault is handled inside the TCM and no external circuits are
involved.
Conditions for Running the DTC
P0711
* DTCs P0101, P0102, P0103, P0116, P0117, P0118, P0121, P0122, P0123, P0336, P0337, P0338, P0711, P0716, P0722, P0723, P0742, or
P2726 are not set.
* Ignition voltage is 8.6 volts or greater.
* The engine coolant temperature (ECT) is valid.
* The TCM internal temperature is -50锟斤拷C to +170锟斤拷C (-56锟斤拷F and +336锟斤拷F) at start up.
* The engine speed is 500 RPM or greater for 5 seconds.
* The vehicle speed is 8 km/h (5 mph) or greater for 5 minutes.
* The engine coolant temperature is between -39锟斤拷C and 149锟斤拷C (-38锟斤拷F and 300锟斤拷F).
* The accelerator pedal position signal is valid.
* The engine torque signal is valid.
P0712 or P0713
* DTCs P0712, P0713, P0716, P0717, P0722, or P0723 are not set.
* Ignition voltage is 8.6 volts or greater.
* The engine speed is 500 RPM or greater for 5 seconds.
Conditions for Setting the DTC
P0711 Condition 1
* Vehicle speed is 8 km/h (5 mph) or greater for 5 minutes.
* TCC slip speed is 150 RPM or greater.
* The TFT is between -50锟斤拷C and +21锟斤拷C (-58锟斤拷F and +70锟斤拷F) at start up.
* The TFT has changed by less than 2.0锟斤拷C (3.6锟斤拷F) in 2 minutes.
* The ECT is 70锟斤拷C (158锟斤拷F) or greater.
* The ECT has increased by 55锟斤拷C (99锟斤拷F) since startup.
Condition 2
* Vehicle speed is 8 km/h (5 mph) or greater for 5 minutes.
* TCC slip speed is 120 RPM or greater for 5 minutes.
* The TFT is between 129-170锟斤拷C (264-507锟斤拷F).
* The TFT has changed by less than 2.0锟斤拷C (3.6锟斤拷F) in 2 minutes.
* The ECT is 70锟斤拷C (158锟斤拷F) or greater.
* The ECT has increased by 55锟斤拷C (99锟斤拷F) since startup.
Condition 3
The TFT changes by 20锟斤拷C (36锟斤拷F) or greater 5 times over 7 seconds.
Condition 4
The TFT has not changed more than 20锟斤拷C (36锟斤拷F) during the following conditions:
* The TFT temperature at start up is -50锟斤拷C (-58锟斤拷F) for 42 minutes.
* The TFT temperature at start up is -25锟斤拷C (-13锟斤拷F) for 17 minutes.
* The TFT temperature at start up is -10锟斤拷C (14锟斤拷F) for 14 minutes.
* The TFT temperature at start up is -5锟斤拷C (23锟斤拷F) for 9 minutes.
* The TFT temperature at start up is 20锟斤拷C (68锟斤拷F) for 4 minutes.
P0712
The TFT is -74锟斤拷C (-101锟斤拷F) or less for 13 seconds or more.
