1. Inspect the transmission cooling system for restrictions or damage, inducing any auxiliary cooler if equipped.
2. Perform the Transmission Fluid Cooler Flushing and Flow Test to verify proper transmission oil cooler flow.

- Engine Overspeed Condition
Circuit/System Description
This DTC is used to indicate that the engine speed exceeded the fuel cutoff limit in gear. This DTC may set if the transmission is placed in a low
gear while driving down a steep grade or traveling at a high speed.
Conditions for Running the DTC
* The DTC is valid for manual transmissions only.
* The engine is running.
* Ignition voltage is between 10-18 volts.
Conditions for Setting the DTC
The ECM detects the engine speed is greater than 7,000 RPM for greater than 1 second.
Action Taken When the DTC Sets
DTC P0219 is a Type A DTC.
Conditions for Clearing the DTC
DTC P0219 is a Type A DTC.
