Circuit/System Testing

1. Ignition OFF, disconnect the harness connector at the appropriate headlamp leveling sensor.

2. Ignition OFF, test for less than 10.0 ohm between the low reference circuit terminal C and ground.

瀚慖f greater than the specified range, test the low reference circuit for an open/high resistance. If the circuit tests normal, replace the

headlamp control module.

3. Ignition ON, test for 4.8-5.2 V between the 5 V reference circuit terminal A and ground.

瀚慖f less than the specified range, test the 5 V reference circuit for a short to ground or an open/high resistance. If the circuit tests normal,

replace the headlamp control module.

瀚慖f greater than the specified range, test the 5 V reference circuit for a short to voltage. If the circuit tests normal, replace the headlamp

control module.

4. Verify the appropriate scan tool Leveling Position Sensor parameter is less than 0.5 V.

瀚慖f greater than the specified range, test the signal circuit terminal B for a short to voltage. If the circuit tests normal, replace the headlamp

control module.

5. Install a 3 A fused jumper wire between the signal circuit terminal B and the 5 V reference circuit terminal A. Verify the appropriate scan

tool Leveling Position Sensor parameter is greater than 4.8 V.

瀚慖f less than the specified range, test the signal circuit for short to ground or an open/high resistance. If the circuit tests normal, replace the

headlamp control module.

6. If all circuits test normal, replace the headlamp leveling sensor.

Repair Instructions
