The TCM power up temperature changes by 20掳C (36掳F) or greater 5 times over 7 seconds.
P06AD
* The TCM power up temperature is -59掳C (-74掳F) or less for 13 seconds or greater.
* The TFT is 140掳C (284掳F) or greater for 60 seconds or more.
P06AE
The TCM power up temperature is 164掳C (327掳F) or greater for 10 seconds or more.
Action Taken When the DTC Sets
* DTCs P06AC, P06AD, and P06AE are Type C DTCs.
* The TCM allows the vehicle to operate in transmission protection mode.
Conditions for Clearing the DTC
DTCs P06AC, P06AD, and P06AE are Type C DTCs.
Diagnostic Aids

Circuit/System Verification
1. Ignition ON, clear the DTCs with a scan tool.
2. Operate the vehicle at 64 km/h (40 mph) for 10 minutes. Monitor the TCM Power-Up Temperature parameter and the TCM Temperature
parameter with a scan tool. The TCM Power-Up Temperature parameter and the TCM Temperature parameter should be within 10掳C (18掳F)
of each other.
瀚慖f the TCM Power-Up Temperature parameter is not within the specified value of the TCM Temperature parameter, then replace the Q8
control solenoid valve assembly.
3. Operate the vehicle within the Conditions for Running the DTC to verify the DTC does not reset. You may also operate the vehicle within the
conditions that you observed from the Freeze Frame/Failure Records data.
Repair Instructions
Perform the Diagnostic Repair Verification (See: Verification Tests) after completing the diagnostic procedure.
* Control solenoid valve assembly replacement. Refer to Control Module References (See: Testing and Inspection/Programming and
Relearning) for replacement, setup, and programming.
