Circuit/System Verification
Ignition ON, command the doors to LOCK and UNLOCK by using the central door lock switch, all doors should LOCK and UNLOCK while
changing between the commanded states.
Circuit/System Testing
1. Ignition OFF, disconnect the X2 harness connector at the K9 BCM
2. Ignition ON, verify that a test lamp illuminates between the B+ circuit terminal 4 and ground.
瀚慖f the test lamp does not illuminate, test the B+ circuit for a short to ground or an open/high resistance. If the circuit tests normal and the
B+ circuit fuse is open, replace the K9 BCM.
3. Ignition OFF, disconnect the X6 harness connector at the K9 BCM.
4. Disconnect the X2 and X3 harness connectors at the X53 fuse block-rear
5. Test for 5-20 ohm between the control circuit terminal 4 X6 at the K9 BCM and control circuit terminal 36 X2 at the X53 fuse block-rear.
瀚慖f less than the specified range, test either control circuit for a short to ground. If the circuits test normal, test or replace the appropriate
A23 door latch assembly.
瀚慖f greater than the specified range, test either control circuit for a short to voltage or an open/high resistance. If the circuits test normal,
test or replace the appropriate A23 door latch assembly.
6. Test for 5-20 ohm between the control circuit terminal 4 X6 at the K9 BCM and control circuit terminal 28 X2 at the X53 fuse block-rear.
7. Test for 5-20 ohm between the control circuit terminal 4 X6 at the K9 BCM and control circuit terminal 16 X3 at the X53 fuse block-rear.
瀚慖f less than the specified range, test either control circuit for a short to ground. If the circuits test normal, test or replace the A23D door
latch assembly-driver.
瀚慖f greater than the specified range, test either control circuit for a short to voltage or an open/high resistance. If the circuits test normal,
test or replace the A23D door latch assembly-driver.
8. Test for 5-20 ohm between the control circuit terminal 4 X6 at the K9 BCM and control terminal 17 X3 at the X53 fuse block-rear (If
equipped).
9. Test for 5-20 ohm between the control circuit terminal 2 and control circuit terminal 4 at the K9 BCM.
瀚慖f less than the specified range, test either control circuit for a short to ground. If the circuits test normal, replace the X53 fuse block-rear.
瀚慖f greater than the specified range, test either control circuit for a short to voltage or an open/high resistance. If the circuits test normal,
replace the X53 fuse block-rear.
10. Test for 5-20 ohm between the control circuit terminal 1 and control circuit terminal 4 at the K9 BCM.
