Special Tools
DT-47825-10 - Jumper Harness
For equivalent regional tools, refer to Special Tools (See: Transmission and Drivetrain/Automatic Transmission/Transaxle/Tools and Equipment).
Circuit/System Verification
1. Ignition ON, verify with a scan tool the transmission ISS/OSS supply voltage test status parameter displays OK.
2. Engine idling in Park, observe the Transmission ISS parameter on the scan tool while varying the engine speed. The Transmission ISS
parameter should vary with the engine speed and not drop out.
3. Operate the vehicle within the Conditions for Running the DTC to verify the DTC does not reset. You may also operate the vehicle within the
conditions that you observed from the Freeze Frame/Failure Records data.
Circuit/System Testing
Note: You must perform the Circuit/System Verification first.
1. Ignition OFF, remove the Q8 control solenoid valve assembly. Refer to Control Solenoid Valve and Transmission Control Module Assembly
Replacement (See: Powertrain Management/Transmission Control Systems/Actuators and Solenoids - Transmission and
Drivetrain/Actuators and Solenoids - A/T/Shift Solenoid/Service and Repair).
2. Connect the DT-47825-10 - jumper harness between the vehicle wire harness electrical connector, and the Q8 control solenoid valve
assembly electrical connector.
3. Ignition ON, test for 8.3-9.3 volts between the ISS/OSS voltage circuit terminal B on the Q8 control solenoid valve assembly and ground at
the transmission case.
瀚慖f not within the specified range, replace the control solenoid valve assembly.
4. Perform the Control Solenoid Valve and Transmission Control Module Assembly Input Shaft Speed/Output Shaft Speed Input Test (See:
Transmission and Drivetrain/Automatic Transmission/Transaxle/Testing and Inspection/Component Tests and General Diagnostics/Control
Solenoid Valve and Transmission Control Module Assembly Input Shaft Speed/Output Shaft Speed Input Test).
5. Inspect the machined teeth on the 1-2-3-4 and 3-5 clutch housing outer surface for damage or misalignment. Repair or replace as necessary.
6. If all of the above test normal, replace the B14A/B14C ISS/OSS assembly.
Repair Instructions
Perform the Diagnostic Repair Verification (See: Verification Tests) after completing the diagnostic procedure.
* Perform the Input and Output Speed Sensor Replacement (See: Powertrain Management/Transmission Control Systems/Sensors and
Switches - Transmission and Drivetrain/Sensors and Switches - A/T/Transmission Speed Sensor/Service and Repair).
* Control solenoid valve assembly - refer to Control Module References (See: Testing and Inspection/Programming and Relearning) for
replacement, setup, and programming.
* Perform the Control Solenoid Valve and Transmission Control Module Assembly Input Shaft Speed/Output Shaft Speed Input Test (See:
Transmission and Drivetrain/Automatic Transmission/Transaxle/Testing and Inspection/Component Tests and General Diagnostics/Control
Solenoid Valve and Transmission Control Module Assembly Input Shaft Speed/Output Shaft Speed Input Test).
* Perform the Service Fast Learn Adapts (See: Transmission and Drivetrain/Automatic Transmission/Transaxle/Testing and
Inspection/Programming and Relearning/Service Fast Learn Adapts) following all transmission related repairs.
