5. Test for 2-3 ohm between the appropriate high voltage supply circuit and high voltage control circuit.
瀚慖f less than the specified range, test for a short between the high voltage supply circuit and high voltage control circuit. If the
circuits/connections test normal, test or replace the appropriate Q17 fuel injector(s).
瀚慖f greater than the specified range, test the high voltage supply circuit and high voltage control circuit for an open/high resistance. If the
circuits/connections test normal, test or replace the appropriate Q17 fuel injector.
Component Testing
Note: The DMM and test leads must be calibrated to 0 ohm in order to prevent misdiagnosis.
1. Remove the intake manifold and disconnect the appropriate Q17 fuel injector.
2. Test for 1.9-2.3 ohm at 20掳C (68掳F) between the high voltage supply circuit terminal 2 and the high voltage control circuit terminal 1 at the
Q17 fuel injector.
瀚慖f not within the specified range, replace the Q17 fuel injector.
3. Measure the resistance between each terminal at the Q17 fuel injector and the Q17 fuel injector housing/case. The DMM should display OL
ohm.
瀚慖f less than the specified value, replace the Q17 fuel injector.

DTC Descriptors
DTC P2176
- Minimum Throttle Position Not Learned
Circuit/System Description
The engine control module (ECM) controls the throttle valve by applying a varying voltage to the throttle actuator control (TAC) motor. The ECM
monitors the actual throttle valve position using throttle position (TP) sensor 1 and 2.
Conditions for Running the DTC
* The engine speed is less than 40 RPM.
* The vehicle speed is 0 km/h (0 mph).
* The engine coolant temperature (ECT) is between 5-101掳C (41-214掳F).
* The intake air temperature (IAT) is between 5-144掳C (41-291掳F).
* The accelerator pedal position (APP) sensor angle is less than 15 percent.
* The ignition voltage is greater than 10 volts.
* DTC P2176 runs once per ignition cycle, when the ignition is ON and the above conditions are met for greater than 1 second.
Conditions for Setting the DTC
* The ECM detects that the TP sensor 1 voltage is not between 4.12-4.55 volts after the throttle learn procedure, with the throttle at rest.
* The ECM detects that the TP sensor 2 voltage is not between 0.34-0.99 volts after the throttle learn procedure, with the throttle at rest.
* The minimum throttle position is not learned after an ECM replacement.
