Circuit/System Verification

1. Ignition ON, clear the DTCs with a scan tool.

2. Operate the vehicle at 64 km/h (40 mph) for 10 minutes. Monitor the TCM Power-Up Temperature parameter and the TCM Temperature

parameter with a scan tool. The TCM Power-Up Temperature parameter and the TCM Temperature parameter should be within 10掳C (18掳F)

of each other.

瀚慖f the TCM Power-Up Temperature parameter is not within the specified value of the TCM Temperature parameter, then replace the Q8

control solenoid valve assembly.

3. Operate the vehicle within the Conditions for Running the DTC to verify the DTC does not reset. You may also operate the vehicle within the

conditions that you observed from the Freeze Frame/Failure Records data.

Repair Instructions

Perform the Diagnostic Repair Verification (See: Verification Tests) after completing the diagnostic procedure.

* Control solenoid valve assembly replacement. Refer to Control Module References (See: Testing and Inspection/Programming and

Relearning) for replacement, setup, and programming.

* Perform the Service Fast Learn Adapts (See: Transmission and Drivetrain/Automatic Transmission/Transaxle/Testing and

Inspection/Programming and Relearning) following all transmission related repairs.

DTC Descriptor

DTC P06AF

- Torque Management System - Forced Engine Shutdown

Circuit/System Description

This diagnostic applies to communication integrity conditions between the engine control module (ECM) and the hybrid powertrain control module

(HPCM). The HPCM monitors a state of health message that the ECM transmits to verify the ECM is functioning properly.

Conditions for Running the DTC

Ignition voltage is 8-18V.
